Today's Progress Group Message "The Mirror Effect"

Today's 11:11 PGM struck me as particularly important. You know how often we hear or read of people talking about the "Law of Attraction"? While I've recognized there is some truth to it I've never been exactly comfortable with those who espouse it. They frequently seem to be focused on 'material manifestation', the 'I can have it all' crowd. That makes me squirm. In today's PGM Teacher Ophelius talks about "The Mirror Effect". In a way this is similar to the Law of Attraction but doesn't have the self-centered overtones, rather it is presented as a universal principle to help us on our goal toward perfection. His message struck home with me.

Dear Welles,

Yes I agree that I also dislike the view that if you would like a new Mercedes, all you need to is put that desire out. Its probably bunkum, unless you are able to activate the Law of Creation and create your own one. Also some people try to make out that every single thing that happens to you, is due to the LOA. In other words, you get on a bus, all those other 53 people were brought there by your LOA. How stupid is that? I do think we have random events in this world. If you get hit by a drunk driver, I would not assume that is my LOA. But I know a teacher believes the Jews LOA is what got them into the death camps.

Yep I liked "The Mirror Effect" and found it helpful in regards to my own spirituality.
