I'm becoming a convert to the Electric Universe theory. If you've never heard of it this is the best possible introduction you will find. (I'm linking the introduction.) In essence it postulates that the whole underlying structure of the physical universe is primarily electric - plasma, electric currents and magnetism. From my brief acquaintance it seems that this theory answers more fundamental questions that the current (pardon the pun) more popular quantum physics with a gravity base. One simple thought that was mighty convincing to me is this. Think of magnetism. It is far more powerful than gravity in that it easily overcomes the effect or pull of gravity.

I think one of the problems of these theories is that they are trying to find a "solution" but totally ignore the role of consciousness in the Universe. As best I know our Creator's approach to needing "tricky" things, is to make use of a being to do what He wanted. So you can't really divorce the Universe from consciousness, which is almost everywhere. Even what we currently consider inanimate generally has consciousness, even if of a standard well below our own. Heck most folks don't even except there are elementals.
