Lilly, I hope little bub is feeling better! I've been all out of sorts today too. We've been without water since Tuesday, I've been shuffling taking my daughter back and forth to a summer writing camp, going to my mom's to take showers, my husband is out of town, and my dog Neo had surgery today. Whew! I know none of that compares to the worry over your little grandbaby.

PP, I love you and I would never take offense because I know you would not mean to offend. For the record, when I post things that come off harsh or preachy, please know that I don't mean it that way. I have a tendency to take a negative tone. So please forgive me in advance.

Thank you so much Sandy! As always your wisdom calms my soul! I'll look for the book you recommend. Wanda might benefit from it too.

Laura, backtracking to one of your previous posts, I was laughing so hard at your "knickers in a twist" stories that I forgot to comment on the first part of that same post! I hope you are in fact getting a little space and meditation time to yourself this week as you were hoping to. It's great that you and your sister do love each other a lot even though you're having a difficult time with her. It sounds like PP's thoughts are likely -- that you are both helping each other and being of service. It sounds like you are causing each other to have insights and change and grow a lot.

Thanks for your comments on my art! Interesting that you envisioned the scarves as shorts -- there are several different kinds of silk clothing that can be painted in addition to scarves, including shorts, shawls, shirts, ties, tank tops, and so on -- we've talked about branching into those at some point; thanks for reinforcing that idea!

PP, I agree with Lilly about keeping your "soap box" talks going; you are a natural teacher, and I always find your words enriching and thought-provoking! And that's a great story about trying on those two dresses together and getting a synergistic effect!

It sounds like you're getting more and more prepared for your upcoming trip! Glad to hear you've got a lot of water! It won't be long now!

I'm not sure what season I'd be in the color pallette you've described. I have hazel eyes. I'd guess, just from what you've written, that I may be a Winter -- I remember when experimenting with make-up as a teenager (though I've almost never worn make-up since, except for job interviews ), that I somehow determined that warm-toned colors worked well for me, and I've also always loved bold, dramatic colors.

Synchronicity ? I think its a blatant message.

Doc, yes, I agree, when I get those kinds of synchronicities, I do take it as a message that I'm on the right track, at the very least, and it may in fact be even a more direct message than that!

Okay, it just so happens I've got my knickers on straight today , so one Starbucks half cappuccino heavy caffeine coffee mix, and one french chocolate eclair coming right up! The amount of caffeine in that drink would make me too hyper , but I'm going to go ahead and get myself a Starbucks decaf mocha latte and a shortbread cookie while I'm at it!

I see you've succeeded in putting up your new avatar (or "avvie," as Pet calls it, and it's now caught on! ) What is the figure in the avvie doing, forging a magic sword, perhaps?

Reba and Doc, I bought the paperback version of the Urantia book several months back, since the paperback is smaller and looks a bit less daunting, though I still haven't started reading it yet! Doc, when I asked that same question about where to start, George recommended that starting with Papers 77 and 114. I remember he said that, since we're receiving the time prompts, we are a part of the "progress" side of things (which may be discussed in one of these papers). Great idea to ask your thought adjuster for help in understanding the material -- I believe I'll do that too, once I finally start trying to read it!

Maria, I'm glad you've found the link to the Abraham videos useful! But don't worry, I've never known you to be rude! I love your suggestions on how to read the Urantia Book as well -- Ron has software that makes mind maps; that would be a great way to make connections regarding the vast amount of information here!

What a sweet video about the "free hugs" campaign! It not only feels good to give and receive hugs, but it even feels good to watch people hugging each other!

Sandy, thanks for your description on how you went about reading the Urantia book -- like Maria's advice, it's very helpful! Come to think of it, I've seen other people who've read the UB on these boards say that they like the parts about the life of Jesus the best as well. And thanks for your sweet comment regarding PP's drawstring metaphor as well!

Wanda, welcome to this gigantic thread that has come to be known as the "Not-So-Secret Secret International Coffee House" thread! I'm not sure who's the one serving this time around, but let us know if you'd like a cafe drink and a snack of some sort, and pull up a chair! When you have a "powerhouse psyche" (as my partner Ron would call it) like you've described, it really is important to use it well and positively; that's great that you now have the Urantia book and the Akashic Construct, as well as all the other books and mailings you've mentioned, as tools and teachers! Even though I've had the AC meditation for several months, maybe even a year now, I still don't yet listen to it nearly as much as I ought to, am still working through some resistance , but I do feel that resistance softening more and more over time!

As for me, All, I spent much of this afternoon sorting through boxes of stuff that we have stored under the house to reorganize and repack it for our upcoming move. After using the same moving boxes for about four different moves, and after they've sat under the house in this humid climate for an entire year , they are beginning to get rather ragged and a little moldy and are buckling and crumpling a bit , so I finally got all new ones.

Well, it's getting late here suddenly , so I'll sign off for now, but I think I'm actually caught up now! (although it's likely that someone else may have posted during the time I've been writing this!) Once again, I apologize if I missed anyone!

Dr. Chispas, I couldn't help but notice your avatar painting. I used to love Fantasy art and was a fan of Greg and Tim Hildebrand the twin artists who did the J.R.R. Tolkien calandars back in the seventies. It reminds me a bit of their work and brilliant feel of light. My all time favorit was I think the painting entitled. 'Old Man Willow' ... loved it!

Maria and Heather...I just watched the Free hugs video you both talked about and I am boo hooing like a silly little goose. Not sure why I was just so moved...maybe it was seeing complete strangers opening themselves up to a love...did you see how it took just a little while at first and then, after a few brave ones...it was like an avalanche of people wanting to give and receive in return. gosh it warmed my heart. Thanks guys!

Hi Wanda Nice to see you posting here too! I smiled when you spoke of your T.V being on the blink. George's set was too for the first year after I got here and one day we were waiting in the doctors office and I found myself so enthralled with it... watching the medical informericals...looked like a little kid again. I found I didn't want to leave..(pretty pathetic ) Shortly there after we decided to get the sound fixed...but it still has trouble... when you least expect it the sound disappears...hmm and I swear it is at critical times like when important clues to the mystery are being given or the show is about to wrap up! So as you can imagine we don't watch a lot of T.V. which is why we keep this old finicky set.

I've been giggling over the "knickwers in a twist" stories...Oh you guys crack me up! Laura it sounds as if you had quite a nice group of people working with you. I have always worked in small menial jobs but the people around me have always been a blessing and a Godsend. I have learned so much about... everything from the meaning of life and how to keep healthy aquarium fish to being patient with people (something that was a trial for me as I was so sensitive) and stepping... baby steps closer to God. I haven't really thought about the affect these people have had on my life and where I am now but I am grateful at this moment and thanking God for the blessings of these co workers in my life.

Aqua Deb I am just amazed by the synchronocities you are experiencing about the upcoming move. It must help, make you feel at ease knowing everything is under control and moving towards your greatest good. I looked last week at your art website and was thrilled to see so many new pieces and most everything sold. I love your beautiful vibrant work. It has been wonderful to see your confidence unfolding on this thread as you first contemplated your art again, then took the first steps towards presenting it to a gallery and now with confidence you are unafraid to go and begin anew with new opportunities and growth for both you and Ron. Truly the sky is the limit and if you can dream it and believe it it is possible. I am just so happy for you and have no doubt that you will find just the right place in Santa Cruz or Capitola or wherever the "winds" lead you.

Maria, Is your husband and son back from Sweden yet? Well I am off to start George's supper. I splurged and bought him something called a corned beef silverside... not sure exactly what to do with it so I stuck it in a pot of water with some spices and water. I plan on adding some veggies later...but something isn't smelling right over there. smells like burned plastic... I sure hope I didn't leave a piece of the bag stuck to the bottom of the pot...Doesn't look(smell) good though)

Doctor Chispas, don't know if you are still there but I learned alot of Jewish tradition when I lived in South Florida. Our neighborhood was about half Jewish and half Christian. Most were from New York City or New Jersey. Lovely people, different than what I'm used to, but lovely.

Hi Reba... Glad to hear your water problems have been fixed!

Dinner turned out better than it smelled. It wasn't something that appeals to me for sure either...I'm not a meat eater, but I did find the source of the hot plastic smell. I found an unidentifiable (sp? )piece of melted plastic underneath the electric burner...have no idea what it was or how it got there.

I'm in the mood for something chocolatey today...anybody feel like homemade choolate chip cookies?

Colours???? I actually think you're a Summer,,,,not a winter.....why???
look at the colours your wearing....soft,,,,more to the pastel, than the vibrant winter colours.....and you have a wonderful glowing pink skin,,,not the clear white that most winters have.....

take some coloured strips of material,,,,,vibrant deep jewel colours then some pastels,,,, and hold them up to your face at different times,,,and you'll see your face change....

when you have the wrong colours on,,,,you'll notice flaws you didn't know you had,,,,,but if you have the right colours on your skin smoothes out...

also,,,all people can wear greens, blues, reds, etc etc....it depends on the undertones of the colour,,,,,look at your lovely green shirt...it's a soft green and looks wonderful on you (that's why you're wearing it...you feel good in it) You might not like a yellow green (more of a Spring tone),,,but because of your hair (now),,,you could get away with the autumn green colour),,,,,but the one you have on suits your skin...

OK,,,you guessed it,,,,another look into my bag of tricks,,,,I used to do Colour coding.....

PP, been visiting with my husband, he came home for the weekend. We had a busy day yesterday and wore ourselves out. Today, though we were discussing living in the present moment to change things around in our lives and got into an argument, so he went his way and I went mine. We had to get those egos deflated. He wants change but doesn't seem to be as willing to apply the tools. I know I cant change him that this has to come from within and I really just have to do it for myself. I still have not completely understood how to live this world and not be of it. Well, I will chat with you later and you must be getting very excited as the Eden Event comes nearer. I will do my part and be with you in spirit for this day, because like you I want all that it will hold for us.

Sandy, you probably burned a plastic bag holder, I sure have burned my fair share of them. I'm glad it was not your meal that tasted of burned plastic. I would like a cup of green tea and some of your chocolate chip cookies.

Reba, sure glad you got your water problem under control, we sure dont realize the importance of water until we do with out. So, many times I've seen this happen with those in Louisiana experiencing hurricanes.

Lilly, sorry to hear you feeling under the weather, so sending you some healing energay for you and Adain to get over this illness. Time to put your feet up and take it easy and re-energize yourself. Pick up that favorite book and have a cup of tea and know that your family hear Loves you.

pp, You're right about how we make things harder.....well we are human..... sometimes a good cry softens up the glue that keeps us stuck.... If we listen to the mind chatter when we are in a negative frame of mind...it's very helpful to know what we are dealing with.....it's telling us..... Each moment is an opportunity to live peacefully and lovingly...it's our decision... doesn't that make it sound easy....Lol Being willing to change sometimes goes out the window.....
One thing that never changes is the love our Creator has for us. I keep that in mind always.... I will also be with you at the Eden Event. Promise I won't drink your water.....

Hi everybody!

I love to come in here feel the community energy that is so special in here and read about what is going on in your lives. There is so much friendliness in here. It is a nice feeling when tapping into that energy.

I have hurt a newfound friend and feel like an idiot and have struggled with trying to find out what made me act like a monkey and try to learn how to elevate myself above such primitive deeds in the future. A painful experience. I am still in shame. Despite my shortcomings, a midwayer has waken me at 5:55 a.m. twice in a row, and I got a eleven eleven promt today, and the lights in the apartment continue to flicker. It is a considerate act of reassurance, and I am slowly restoring my self-confident. Thank you midwayer. Thank you GOD!!!

On the up-side, my husband Sven and our son Ivan are home again. Maurits, is in Sweden. He is taking courses in photography this summer at the university in our hometown. I hope to meet him soon...(thanks again for all prayers and visualizings - I need them!!!).

Ivan brought some Swedish candy to me. Salted licorice. He knows what I love. It is so nice of him. When I was pregnant with Maurits, I crawed salted licorice and ate at least a half pound a day, and would go mad :twisted: if I did not get it. It was expensive in the end, when I had to pay the dentist-bill for a root-canal...

I am glad some enjoyed the hug movie. It is so touching to see all the people coming for hugs. My Maurits is a real hugger and have always been. When he was eight and nine, the after-school teachers told me he hugged all his friend. Even the toughest of them, boys included, lined up to get hugs from him. It was so touching for me as a moder to learn that he was a giver of love and comfort.

Lilly, I hope your little grandson is better and have started to eat again. My heart goes out to him.

It doesn't matter if the post is about you...... We all need some time to express what's happening within our own lives. I sometimes act out of sorts and upset someone.....never mind.....we are all changing and growing....we can't be perfect. We are mostly loving and that's what counts......I hope things work out between you and your friend.

Maria, it's always depressing when we hurt someones feelings, and I'm sure you didn't do it 'intentionally',,,,you have too much love for that,,,
but sometimes,,,we do or say something and don't even realize that it could have hurt someone,,,,,,even when we care about that person,,,

sometimes its actually about where they are, mentally, spiritually,,,or even egotistically....

so just keep love in your heart,,,and it will work out......

a good friend and I had a falling out over a yr ago,,,and it took a good 6 months before she realized I wasn't mad at her.....it was a personal thing that happened to her and she didn't talk to anyone about it....then I happened to be 'the straw that broke the camels back' so to speak...

the backlash was terrible,,,,and just recently she told me what had happened,,,,so we talked it out finally and it released a big burden for her.

never worry that you write and then think that it's just about you,,,that what we're here for,,,,for each other....to listen,,,,to help,,,,and sometimes I tend to do alot of finger waggling.....like an old mother hen...

but like everyone,,,I too am learning that everyone has their journey to walk....but we're always by each others sides....for support....for sharing.. the good and the not so good sometimes......learning how to love unconditionally is not the easiest go around,,,,,but it keeps getting better and better...


I'm almost ready for my journey to the high Rockies,,,,did a super clean on the vehicle today inside and out....at least it's ready....actually packing is the next to work on....all my clothes are ready,,,just not packed...it's hard to plan a mtn trip,,,with weird weather,,,,hot days and cold nights,,,
and a TENT.....I said I'd never tent again...and here I am doing it...

we wanted to really spoil ourselves and get those airmattresses that have legs....but they were like a hundred bucks a piece - for 5 nights,,,,didn't think so....

so we've decided to just roll off them and help each other up....sorry no pictures allowed with those antics,,,,but I'll write a laughable description of it....

I'm rather stiff and sore now after the vehicle clean,,,and it's getting late,,so I'm off to the hot tub,,,then to bed...

This bug seems to be going and I do feel better this evening......
Aidan is on the mend and was banging the singing bowl again today.....it's tuned to the base chakra.....also tibetan bells which he seems to have claimed, then he had a go with a tambourine...the colour is coming back into his little face....He loves to hear me sing and joins in with vocal sounds......another muso in the family.
Last night as I lay in bed, the face of one of my siamese cats appeared in the pattern of the curtain.......she died a few years ago...whenever I was sick or upset she would come sit on my bed and stare at me with her blue eyes and comfort me.

thanks for the tip Maria,,,,not much will be left out anywhere,,,and our ceremony dresses might do with a damp night to get the wrinkles out,,,then we'll hang them in the vehicle...

Lilly,,,there is a full floor on the tent,,,plus it has a covering of rug underlay...I had it up in my tent last summer with great success...

Well,,I hope everyone remembers to try to do a meditation on solstice at their particular times....
