My aim is to be conscious of this as I go about my days in the week to come and then some. What a great article.
Thank you, Welles.

It is a lovely read. As a cashier, I enjoy interacting with folks in the simplest of ways where we don't have to worry about much of anything. The reality is, not everyone wants to connect in this manner- this is humbling. Sometimes I intentionally do not make eye contact yet, there is no rudeness on either's behalf. Learning when to engage with and when to simply and silently wish a person well without expecting any return has been quite the experience. More than anything I am again reminded of Mother Teresa's wisdom...
"We shall never know the good that a simple smile can do."
How True. We may never be aware of the rippling effects a simple act of Kindness can produce but even in imagining the potential, well.... :loves :hithere
