Hi everyone!

Could you all please pray for my mom's cousin Ronnie Scachitti, 73 years old? I believe he is in a hospital somewhere around Geneva, Illinois (Northern Illinois), USA. His name is pronounced Sa-ketty, at least by people in the US. It's Ska-kee-tee in Italian. Here's what my mom wrote:
Ronnie isn't doing well, so Sherri is staying here another week. He is having a procedure tomorrow that he's had done before: Jump starting his heart. If that doesn't work, a pace maker and if that doesn't work, some very serious surgery. I knew he looked terrible last Sunday when I saw him, but I was hoping it wasn't this serious.
I think Ronnie has congestive heart failure. I can't remember his exact condition. He has 3 adult children and several grandchildren . . .

Thank you all so much. Sending lots of love to all of you!

 Love, Michele xoxoxoxoxox

Hello Michelle,

Ronnie's in my thoughts and prayers for a successful outcome. I feel confident in the cardiac specialists treating him, but it's terribly worrying for all concerned. I pray for Ronnie and his family to remain calm and peaceful and hold the positive hope that Ronnie's heart will soon be feeling strong again, once they've stabilised his heart rhythm. :sunflower: :loves

Love
Anya xx

Hi Michele,

I am having George send Ronnie to the healing circle. I can imagine from the way George looked and felt when he was having heart issues just how miserable he is and will double my prayer efforts. I hope he doesn't have to have surgery!!!

Sending love and energy your way. (((((((((HUGS))))))))

Prayers are already on their way for Ronnie ! I visualize him drenched in white light with courses streaming toward his heart. I am also sending waves of peace and certainty that all will be well to him and his family. The emotional can oftentimes be worse than the physical. (How well we know right??)

Sending love to you and your whole family... :loves :loves :loves :loves :loves :loves :loves :loves :loves :loves :loves :loves :loves

How very true this is, especially in relation to the heart or brain.

Michele, I have been thinking deeply about Ronnie - sending him loving prayers for comfort and peace to keep nicely relaxing, and to restore strength to his heart and mind. I know he will feel emotional having to submit to life saving measures, as the heart is a very emotional organ. My father, who was an 'archetypal' Clark Gable needed an emergency pacemaker at 65. Returning from theatre it was shocking to witness how upset, almost distraught he was after the procedure. It was a massive shock for him to realise his life had irrevocably changed, and this felt like a heavy loss.

I continue to pray that Ronnie feels comforted, loved and well supported :loves :loves :loves

Thank you so much Cassandra and Anya!!!! And how right you both are to talk about emotions at a time like this. I've heard that many cultures view our 'self' as living in the heart instead of in the brain. When I used to work in hospitals I saw how upset people were following heart surgery -- like your dad, Anya! It really impacted them emotionally, more than brain surgery or knee surgery or something like that. I remember one man sobbing and sobbing and I asked what was wrong? He said he felt like the doctor had taken his soul out through his heart. Poor thing, I really related to what he meant!

Thank you both so much for praying and for your strong visualizations. Lots of love to you, and I'm on the case sending healing energies to you as well! :love :loves With lots of love, Michele xoxoxoxox

Yes I believe it is so. My boss, a wonderful spiritually enlightened woman once explained to me that everything of value we communicate comes from our hearts, and that I wasn't to put too much emphasis on missing a part of my brain (from my tbi) in my communications with cancer patients. I guess from this she actually meant it is the soul/heart communication that matters entirely. Strangely, in my reply a little earlier I had written about the soul but then deleted it...I'm not sure why, perhaps thinking it was overly dramatic, but I certainly felt it went deeper to that! Returning to my boss, she regularly flies to India to retreat with her ?indian father guru, and I believe it is here she taps in to this phenomenal soul cleansing, re-awakening process. She comes back almost levitating with light and enlightenment. :D

What news is there on Ronnie, Michele? :loves

Oh, wow, Anya . . . that is just beautiful!!! Are you lucky to have a boss like her! She is very deep . . .and I think she's right! We've all felt that funny pang in our chest, when we've been deeply hurt. You can feel in that moment that there's a reason for the term "Heart break!" In fact did you ever hear about how even Western docs now recognize "Broken Heart Syndrome"? Where there's nothing physically wrong with your heart but you suffer a heart attack for emotional reasons? Just incredible!

I really agree with your boss. Just from coming to know you here in our family, I know what a blessing you will be in the lives of your future patients! There is no question. Your heart is intact, and it is through your heart that you will reach people, just as you do now with us here.

When I studied Chinese Medicine, we learned the 5 Treasures, or the 5 organs that matter. The rest just follow these others; they don't matter as much, they're like little soldiers who take orders from the generals. They are: Heart, Lungs, Kidneys, Liver and Spleen. We also learned that the Shen (or the Self, the Personality, the Spirit or the Soul) lives inside the heart.

So one day I asked "What about the brain?" You know, "Why isn't the brain one of the 5 Treasures?" In Western Medicine we regard the brain as the centerpiece of the body after all, let alone the self. And they said "The brain is just a computer that obeys You. But You don't reside in the brain -- it does Your bidding. You reside in the Heart, at the Heart Center." It's truthfully the same story in the chakra system, isn't it? Where the self is centered in compassion and empathy within the heart?

So I know you'll be just a fabulous therapist Anya . . I'm picturing you touching the lives of many every day when I send you healing.

No update on Ronnie yet, thank you for asking, but I'll let you know when I hear! Love to you!!! :loves :sunflower:  Michele xoxoxoxox

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to update you all on Ronnie's condition. The docs sent him home after shocking his heart. The last time they said they were going to try to shock his heart, and if that didn't work, go to the pace maker option, so I'm not sure why they settled for shocking the heart again when it didn't hold last time. :finger: Hoping your prayers make up the difference. They admitted him because his feet were all swollen, but they sent him home with swollen feet, so you're left to wonder what's going on.

Thank you all so much and sending love to each of you . . . Michele :loves

O'h Michele. I used to work in cardiac care yonks ago, and it is very common in his condition to have swollen ankles. It's a catch 22 situation - he needs to mobilise gently for circulation, and elevate steeply for swelling, but he needs to keep going. Hopefully he's on diuretics and digoxin. It is more usual to have swelling but it isn't if swelling creeps up and is painful. Sorry to get technical, when all you're requesting are prayers. Re-assured, I've prayed for Ronnie to start feeling stronger and well. Have they sent him home with any monitor to wear? Perhaps a pace-maker isn't necessary just yet. In my father's case, he needed one as he had suspected sino-atrial disease, although it was never conclusive. Prayers for you too Michele, for being so caring and loving  :loves Lots of Love, Anya xx

No Anya I am very grateful that you did get technical! I am not trained in medicine but like you have spent time in hospital so I am familiar with the drugs you mentioned and some of those treatment options. I don't believe they did send him home with a monitor but instead compression socks. I have to hope it is as you said and the pace maker isn't deemed necessary yet? So your father was going through a bit of this himself at one point? Is he still living? I will send him healing if he still needs it . . then again even if he's passed on he could use a nice dose eh? So consider him included in the prayer either way. :love And so much love flowing out to you for offering your prayers and comforting words . . . peace to you!

:hithere Michele, thank you for showing such love and care to ask after my father. He passed away in Alice Springs on the 10th November (the same as Pam's father  ) 18 years ago, aged 67. He had been extremely fit other than needing a pacemaker as he kept blacking out a lot aged 66. He unfortunately died from an aortic aneurysm. Looking at photo's taken of him posing by the side of some aboriginal sacred rocks, he was completely bathed in light with a strong halo of pinkish light hovering over his head. My imagination tells me that his guardians were waiting to receive...it gives me great comfort. I must find this photo to send you! :sunflower: I have felt his presence (orbs visiting) several times soon afterwards. See my post in 'Orbs'. It was quite a wonderful feeling and experience, but so long ago...just happened in that month.

Ronnie is wearing dvt stockings which will help reduce swelling. I pray for his strength in keeping motivated to walk a little further each day. He mustn't just rest Michele as otherwise he will lose muscle power in his legs. :loves :sunflower:

Oh Anya I am having a senior moment right now. Please forgive me, I do remember you sharing about Alice Springs, and I do recall this beautiful story, it touched me so deeply at the time and how could that have slipped my mind?! Oh time, I like to think of you as a friend but sometimes I feel like we are at odds with one another! Forgive me Anya! :love

You know, that is simply incredible that your father and Pam's died on the same day. Truly, that is remarkable, and there was just another such story posted on the board as well. I take comfort in you mentioning that your father died of an aortic aneurysm, for that is something Ronnie has too right now, and I suspect that in learning that caused your father's death, a little advanced-comfort is now being offered here concerning Ronnie, that perhaps that will ultimately cause his death as well. It's funny but they do sometimes try to reach out to us in advance of the tragedy, don't they? Just as the photo of your father standing beside the Aboriginal sacred rocks . . do send the photo if you find it!! How truly beautiful and what a needed comfort to you!! :love

I will pass on the advice about Ronnie walking about . . .I doubt he'll take it, he is very testa dura (stubborn in Italian). No doubt his wife Loretta will try to get him moving and he'll merely groan at her . . . But we can try.

Lots of love to you and thank you so so much for sharing about your father!! Peace! Love Michele :loves

I'm with Sandy..."shocking the heart" sounds pretty awful.

I am still in prayer for Ronnie and can only imagine what he is going through. Modern medicine is indeed a dual edged sword! It can save your life, ease your pain and conversely make you miserable. I will be holding him close and sending him extra doses of peace and healing.

Love to all.. :loves :loves :loves :loves
