I've been working with the AC cd and so far I keep falling asleep. I figure that is not uncommon. Also, I have trouble seeing things in detail. When I was younger I could see anything with my imagination, but now I have trouble getting and keeping an image. I'm determined though so I plan to keep plugging along!

Falling asleep was common for me, in fact, the quality of my nightly sleep upgraded very much !! Which I really needed
Even though we fall asleep, our consciousness (soul, T/A, God Spark) is still busy working...
As a child my imagination was vivid and yet was rusty when I first started working with the AC....you will notice, with practice, that it will improve You will also cease falling asleep...sometimes we get so deep we think we are sleeping, yet we are not.

Likely you are altering a faulty sleeping pattern first of all. Ideally you should work the Akashic Construct in the mornings, when you are fresh.
BTW. I don't now. It can be midnight for me, and work well, but I'm an old hand (1972 or thereabouts).
If you keep falling asleep, tho, you are just too comfortable.
In that case use a kitchen chair, not your bed.
Remember, quite a few folks get down to Alpha, think they are not deep enough, and drift right into Theta and Delta -- fast asleep. It's not that hard to reach Alpha -- unless one thinks it is.

You had mentioned in the past that your reception technique involves tape recording while you speak the message. But you had also explained that you sometimes don't remember the message until it is transcribed from tape later.
I thought that theta (or theta/delta) would be the level where this might occur - not alpha.
