Don't worry about making a wrong choice. You can't...even if you feel you do, just choose again. That's it. That's all. Period. Choose again!

As soon as I started reading this thread, I thought of an excerpt by one of my favorite authors, Deepak Chopra.
It is from his book called, "The Book of Secrets."

He explains:
"Don’t obsess over right and wrong decisions. There is no right or wrong, only a series of possibilities that shift with each thought, feeling, and action that you experience.

If you obsess over whether you are making the right decision, you are basically assuming that the universe will reward you for one thing and punish you for another. This isn’t a correct assumption because the universe is flexible- it adapts to every decision you make. Right and wrong are only mental constructs.

Go beyond risks. You can go beyond risks by knowing that there is infinite intelligence at work in the hidden dimension of your life. At the level of this intelligence your choices are always supported. The point of looking at risks would be to see if your course of action is reasonable. People who can assess their choices at the deeper level of awareness are aligning themselves with infinite intelligence, and thus they have a greater chance for success than does someone who crunches the numbers.

It is hard to let go when you don’t know if you have made the right choice in the first place. Doubt lingers and ties us to the past. It is important not to make critical decisions when you are in doubt.

The universe supports actions once they are begun, which is the same as saying that once you take a direction, you are setting a mechanism in motion that is very hard to reverse. When you are in doubt, however, you put the universe on hold for a while. It favors no particular direction.

Keep in mind that you are the choice-maker, which means that who you are is far more than any single choice you have ever made or ever will make."

This always gives me comfort.
I hope someone else finds comfort in this today. LUV2

Much love to all,
Kenge

Hi Kenge,

Deepak is one of my favourites also,,,

but I also here alot of... "All is in Divine Order',,,,all the time...

so even if the decision one makes is a lesser choice, neither right or wrong,,,it's just a choice,,,and valuable lessons will be learned from whichever path we choose...

he's so right,,,it's the doubt that hinders us....I'm sure it's under the 'fear' list...

Hi, guys! Here is my question that I've always wondered about. We have "free will", yet there is a "divine order" to everything. How does that work? (I hope my question makes sense?)

Dear Clare,

I would not use the notion of Divine Order, but rather the notion that Father has His Will, which when followed leads to order. We have our free will, and that has lead to disorder on this planet. As we learn to follow His Will, so order will return to this planet.

Geoff.

Dear pp,

There are certainly better choices, and choices that may lead to soul damage. Every single serious thought has consequences. You are either growing forward, or backwards. You are right that we can learn from bad choices, but that does not mean there are no consequences.

love,
Geoff.

I am sorry to say that I disagree substantially with this view. I agree that when you have made a decision, there is no point in agonizing over the past. Move on. But there are certainly bad choices, and good choices, and as you grow spiritually what is happening is you are making more and more good choices.

Geoff.

No need to be sorry. :D I don't disagree with you, either.

"Good" and "Bad" are words we identify with, esp. living in the realm of reality that we do. We have come to verbally & mentally define things/objects by names and categories because that is how it has come to work in our everyday reality. (Just as time is very much real to us, but in actuality it is just a mental construct, an illusion. Yet we in this realm live by this agreement.)

Certainly each choice we make and the result (good and not good) that arise from those decisions (karma) can either help us progress on the spiritual plane, or hinder that progress. The more conscious one becomes, one can learn from karma (the law of cause and effect) to excel into their higher purpose - which in the end benefits the whole. Higher awareness brings us into alignment with God, Source, Being, Spirit, (place name here,) which can only bring about 'positive' results. And thank goodness for that! :D

What a beautiful thing to link here with such wonderful souls on a path such as this. :loves
