Two Pennies - 2026, Proverbs 4:20

A rational mind would not believe that I have witnessed an ordinary spoon manifest out of thin air. And who could blame them?

But it is a part of my experience growing up.

Today I took out the trash and decided to sit in the sunlight. It wasn't until I sat down and made the conscious decision to meditate did I notice a penny suddenly appear in front of my feet.

The penny is dark, and when I held it up to look at it- all I could see was "In God we trust."

I knew then to sit a little while longer in stillness and empty space.

It was space I had begun to contemplate. Where thoughts both rise and disappear.

I wondered whether it was even right to try and name that space, or if it is better to simply rest in the space.

That's when I noticed a second penny appear to my left. This penny is completely faded, except when the sun light shines directly on it. Of course, the first thing I saw(again) was, "In God we trust."

Just as it was time to leave, a neighbor in green walked towards me. We greeted, and he felt compelled to talk to me about judgement day. I'm not sure I understood him, what he was trying to relay with his words- but I understood him, the feelings he was wishing to convey and the ideas he was wishing to express.

Though his literal interpretation did not seem right to me, the overall message I interpreted was relevant to stillness- righteousness and the space where thoughts rise and fall.

------

I walked back into my apartment and noticed the time 4:20

Which is a prompt that had tried getting my attention earlier on. Only now, after this experience, was I inclined to look it up as a bible verse.

"My son, pay attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."

This year, I hope to glean insight into what's not being said but what's being felt. This is the space where magic, love and wonder manifest.

Happy New Year :loves

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Eric and everybody! :bana: :bana: :bana:

As I type, we are 6 days into 2026. Many of us might still be reeling in the good vibes of what some deem a fresh new start. I guess every morning is that for me. (fresh new start) When I fall asleep, I always seem to contemplate my failures of the day...maybe not such a bad thing if one ends on the things to celebrate about oneself. Overall, I feel a change in the air...good? bad? a little of both? :) Now I'm thinking of the ending of "Guardians of the Galaxy". Which is also a good thing. I think there is great potential in all of us, especially if we do not drag ourselves down with our flops and failures in the physical and in the esoteric. There are going to be challenges this year without a doubt. Some may have us wringing our hands and wishing to hide in a deep, dark hole somewhere, but life is fluid...and one day does not define us. We always have a chance to look to the stars, reach inwards, upwards, and outwards with the One who creates the fabric of all that is. Now that is some pretty powerful help, eh?

Well, not sure what I am going on about, but I enjoyed reading your Happy New Year thoughts and experiences, Eric... and I rest, despite the chaos around me, in the God of all existence. We are safe there throughout eternity."In God We Trust"

Good morning, Mama-Sandy :elephant:

Your faith always inspires me.

Feeling the space, feeling the presence. Tasting the now, the experiential wisdom we so often seek.

The negative is not negative, it is valuable information. We hold that which we consider discomfort or failure in the light, so we may better understand ourselves and move with compassion and grace.

We speak with circles, not in circles. Our existence is Gods, and for the benefit of all.

Love you friend of friends. Sister, in Joy. Mother in Wisdom and just Sandy
A most precious gift. :sunflower:
