Waltzing With Autumn

Yesterday I was in a funky mood. After reading Welles' poem by Jon Katz 'Today Will Be The Best Day Of My Life' I felt so much better. Of course it made me feel better! I love to read and write poetry. Pondering the words of the poem, quietly staring out the window. I realized, "Ahh, I need to write. Yes I have a poem in me." Here's what presented itself. Pandora is an on-line radio station I listen to.
Waltzing with the Autumn
October 20, 2014
This early evening...
gazing at colorful, wind flitting, stem anchored, magical discs of wonder.
Pandora toning in the background.
I'm...
saddened, yearning..., uncomfortable......,
lonely.
Everyone today seemed at odds with others, themselves.... with me.
My mood should not depend on them,... but empathy in my spirit runs deep.
Can I remain balanced while they, scream, rebuff,...weep?
Can't I emulate the dancing cloak of the woods?
Shimmering from droplets of rain,... flipping, wafting, twittering on the breeze.
Drawing in a long breath, exhale... pausing a moment to go outside of myself.
Lashes closed, rising to the ballet, prancing, dashing amongst the branches.
Pandora in the background, a step for each note, a forest symphony.
Ahh......
again, regaining my balance.
The others remain at odds with the world.
But my heart sings, centered once again, waltzing with the autumn.

That is beautiful Kim!
May we all dance with you among the Autumn branches, regaining our balance and joy of existence!

Thanks Sandy,
This morning I imagine I'm wearing an acorn cap and leaf tutu! Sorry I really need to spend some time writing.
On another note, don't know how I got a duplicate poem, well obviously pressed the submit button twice. Tried to figure out how to take it down, but guess I'll have to leave that to you.

Hi Kim,
I must have missed the second one yesterday. Sorry about that. Yes, I think you only have a limited time to delete your post before it will be necessary for a moderator to do it. This prevents disruption of threads by the random deleting of posts which others might have commented on and so would make the threads confused for the readers.
Anyway number 2 is gone but it gave me an opportunity to read and enjoy your post again... I can just see you this morning, a real nature fairy with your acorn hat and leaf tutu!

That was a beautiful way to create yourself out of a funk, Kim. Well done!

Dear Welles,
I find that creativity works much better at getting myself out negativity than hitting my head on a brick wall.
And! It doesn't give me a headache! Or a flat head!
This fall has been so blissfully beautiful! Here's another short ditty.
Autumn Filled Day
October 23, 2014
Here I go again....
Reveling in splendor
Resting for a minute on the
weathered wooden love seat
perfectly positioned.
Where I can be kissed by the sun
cradled by the breeze
Listen to chickadees singing in the trees.
A marvel is the sailboat off in the distance
sliding along the ripple of waves
Skating gracefully onward....
Here I go again...
Awed by the gossamer caress of nature
There is so much life living in this
quietly boisterous
autumn filled day.
Hope your Autumn is as inspiring,
Kim

We did have a great time! First gathering all the immediate family has been able to get together in the same place for months. We bought her a stand and bench for her electric piano. Gulp! Since she's moving to Chicago she'll need them. Also makes it easier when she performs to take her own piano and increases her repertoire having another instrument.
Love,
Kim

Aleah is moving to Chicago! ??? Well God bless her and all her endeavours... and comfort and support mom and dad as they watch their "little song bird" fly off on her own wings.
Love,
Sandy

Good grief. I saw that little emoticon and thought it was a Teenage Ninja Mutant Mom! But noooo it was just Rambo.

LOL! Guess I don't hide my feelings very well. Actually with her being a crystal I can't hide my feelings at all! However she does like my poetry... almost as much as I like her music!
Is that one better?

I don't know, LOL sometimes a mom needs to be a little bit of a "loving Rambo" or "Ninja turtle".
