Newcomer here, but not to 11:11

Hello everyone,
I guess the best way to introduce myself would be to tell you how I came to learn about this strange, yet beautiful, friendship I've been given the chance to have.
I came to find this forum a few years ago when an acquaintance asked me if I had ever heard about the 11:11 phenomenon. I'd been writing a fantasy book about angels and demons for almost a decade (started it back in middle school and haven't finished) and I thought that I was well versed in all things about angels. He asked me to look into it and at first, I brushed it all off as just one of those things that people blow out of proportion and it doesn't really mean anything. That, plus it had never happened to me so it must all be baloney.
He told me about an event that took place in his life where he was constantly seeing 11:11 and I have to admit that I wasn't interested in the slightest when I heard about it. Though I was kind of intrigued at how detailed the story was. His story was about traveling to meet a person in a different country and through the whole trip, he was constantly seeing 11:11 or a set of numbers, and even when he landed.
I look back on it now and I guess "they" used him as conduit to reach me. It's been a few years now since I had that conversation. While I don't speak to that person anymore, I don't think I left that conversation empty handed. At a point in my life after the conversation, I decided to start praying every single night. It was one of those things that I'd put off for a long time that I thought would somehow bring me a little closer to God. I don't know if that was the final trigger, but not long after I started praying, "they" showed up. It's now a daily thing that I see 11:11, 12:12, 12:34, etc.
I've never been a religious person. I don't go to church everyday, or recite passages from the Bible, nor could I stand people who did. I don't know if this is God's work, but I do know that what is happening to me isn't just a coincidence.
Of all the things that I've read and this feeling that I have inside of me, I know I am seeing these signs for a reason. Ever since I was young, I always had a feeling that I had a mission to complete in life and my life would always feel empty until I did it. Only, I didn't know what it was. I like to think that I'm an intellectual and logical man, so one part of me is telling me that this is all in my head. But there is an even stronger part of me that says "Something special is happening, but you're not supposed to know what it is." Faith has taught me not to question miracles, just accept them as they come.
The final straw that got me to post in these forums was while I was reading some of the information posted on here as to why certain people see these signs, I looked over at the clock on my computer and it was 10:10. I figured, that was their way of telling me I've come to the right place.
I apologize as to the length of this first post. I really hope I can learn from you all as much as I possibly can. If I can, I want to get closer to these beings that are talking to me. Because every time I see one of these signs, I somehow feel like my prayers are being listened to.
