11:11 Angels Message Board

Afternoon everybody.

I dont know if i've told any of you on here, but im a singer/songwriter and for the past few months i've really wanted to inject my spirituality into my music. I've always had them as 2 seperate beings in my life but today I brought them together.

Whilst enjoying a lovely day off, words and music began to pour into my head and I had to rush back home to pick up my guitar and get down what I had in my head onto tape.

I've recorded a very short demo that I would like to share with you all, it was written quite quickly and i'll definitely be recording this professionally but I just want to share this acoustic demo with you all and to see what you think.

I just hooked up a mic and played guitar & sung at the same time, I usually record both tracks seperately for better quality. Going to re-record it tonight. On those verses I talked about 'seeing' and 'hearing' the signs, on the next verse i'll mention 'feeling' the signs. I want it to end with an epic violin, cello, electric guitar closing and some nice angelic backing vocals. I like sharing early versions of songs with others and glad you appreciate this.

Thank you! To be honest, I still consider myself amateur, only been playing a few years. I just have really good software and a decent USB condenser microphone. If you use the right recording techniques for a stripped down song and add the right effects/reverb, you can produce something that sounds quite decent.

wehat kind of hardware/software are you using? I've got mikes, a board, effects processor and stuff. But I was running out of the board into the line in on the sound card (1/8"). And the cakewalk I was using was pirated, I think
