As we get older it is not uncommon for joints in our leg and muscles and "what nots" in our back to ache and hurt. This can be exacerbated by standing still while waiting in a line. I think it is a wonderful law, unwritten or not, that allows those who are infirm or elderly to jump to the front. Yet, I can also see a younger person's concern as should there be a "herd" of elderly, one may never get their business accomplished.
The last time we were at a Center link office we were thrilled to see a new system in place...
When one arrives he or she is greeted by an employee standing behind a computer, whose job was to sort people by need and place their names in a Que for service. This allows the actual person to have a seat in what I must say, is the most comfortable upholstered chairs, until their turn arrives for service.
This system helped George immensely as he was not all that steady on his feet after his illness and hospital stay. So even though I haven't been a huge fan of Centerlink and their inept filing system over the years...well done on this count!
