Hi Tiggy,
We lifted it to shelter under some bushes and within an hour we watched it fly away...........my daughter was so concerned..........I was rather more concerned for the poor butterfly when I caught her trying to force feed it grass.....bless
 Oh that is just precious! I had never considered how trumatic a heavy rainstorm could be for these small critters until I watched a documentary film called "Microcosmos". It was a wonderful study of tiny life in this one particular meadow and how they interacted and adapted to the changing weather conditions. Well I just managed to make it sound very dull! But really is a great film and worth seeing if you get the chance.
I'm so glad your story too had a happy ending! :D
Love,
Sandy
